And that’s okay.

CHAPTER 01 · THE MISSING PIECE
INQUIRY & TENSION

Sometimes, you already know enough.

Yet there’s still a missing piece.

Something you can’t quite put your finger on.

OBSERVATIONS & EVIDENCE

What that missing piece looks like in practice:

Or simply seeing something you thought you knew in a different way.

EXHIBIT 01 · STRADDLING THE AXISREAL ORIGINAL ARTEFACT
Chetan's original hand-drawn sketchnote: a person crossing a river using boulders, with coloured boulders indicating alternative paths and a crocodile in the water.
The River Crossing — Black boulders represent what is already known; three coloured boulders represent possible missing pieces (a conversation, a different perspective, or a small decision). Another step is needed, and more than one path is possible.
CATALYTIC SHIFTS

Maybe it starts with a better question.

THRESHOLD

And that’s where the shift begins.

When an inquiry clarifies, movement follows naturally.

CHAPTER 02 · MAKE THE SHIFT
THE STEPPING PROGRESSION

How a subtle shift converts into reality:

Small shifts can change what happens next.

CORE PRINCIPLE

Make the shift.

Not everything needs a new plan.

Sometimes, it needs a new way of looking at the old one.

EXHIBIT 02 · STRADDLING THE AXISREAL ORIGINAL ARTEFACT
Chetan's original hand-drawn sketchnote in three beats: a thinking figure with a thought bubble, a light bulb insight, and the figure running with the bulb into action.
Thought → Possibility → Action — The shift is not complete at the “aha”; something is done with it.
BOUNDED THOUGHT SIMULATORNICKY CASE MECHANIC

Test an Angle Shift on a Live Tension

Select an intractable problem below to see how a dialectic reframe converts tension into operational movement:

INITIAL TENSION

“Our project hit a sudden roadblock. We think we need a complete top-to-bottom strategy overhaul.”

State: Trapped in circular problem framing.

THE SHIFT & NEXT MOVE

“Not everything needs a new plan. Sometimes, it needs a new way of looking at the old one.”

Instead of burning the roadmap, isolate the one hidden assumption that has changed since inception.

→ Isolate the single friction variable before throwing away the existing system.
PURPOSE

That’s what Alpha Shift is about.

• Creating the space to explore.

• To think differently.

• To see more clearly.

• To find what matters.

And then to do something about it.

METHODOLOGY

How we work

• It might begin with a conversation.

• It might be a workshop that gets people thinking and doing.

• It might be a deeper journey with a leader, a team or an organisation.

• Or it might be something we haven’t put into a box yet.

We start where you are.

CHAPTER 03 · PROGRAMMES OF WORK
ENGAGEMENT ARCHITECTURE

Programmes of Work

Seven depth-calibrated areas designed to open possibilities and build lasting operational traction.

⚡ Choose the depth: 60 mins — Open it up · 180 mins — Work it through · 360 mins — Make it usable.
01

THINK BETTER

See possibilities. Solve better problems.

02

COMMUNICATE CONFIDENTLY

Be clear. Be heard. Have the conversations that matter.

CHAPTER 04 · PERSPECTIVE & ARTEFACTS
FOUNDER ESSAY

I’m Chetan.

I’ve always been curious. About people. About what makes us tick.

That curiosity has travelled with me. Through banking, fintech, marketing, education and business. Different roles. Different situations. Lots of different people.

I explored techniques, frameworks and ways of thinking that helped me understand some of those questions better — and gave me different ways to work with others too.

I’m still learning. I hope I always will be. Because there’s often more there than we realise.

The capabilities we may not be using fully yet.

Look closer. Ask questions. Try something. Learn. And occasionally, surprise yourself.

That’s probably the simplest way to explain Alpha Shift. It grew from experience. From curiosity. From continuing to learn.

CURIOSITY IN PRACTICE

And then there are the things I try…

01 · PHOTOGRAPHYVISUAL OBSERVATION

Photography took me across genres and, along the way, brought me some international recognition.

02 · THE PRINTED RECORDSHARED ARTEFACT

A weekend eating street food around New Delhi with three colleagues became a coffee-table book — four copies, one for each of us.

03 · THE DISCOMFORT EDGEONE PERFORMANCE

And once, mostly because it was well outside my comfort zone, I tried stand-up comedy. One performance. It went rather well. 😄

Different things. Same curiosity.
